From the 27th to the 28th of September 2012, we.CONECT invited leading Social Intelligence & Business Collaboration Management leaders and managers to the annual Social Business Collaboration 2012 conference in Berlin.
More than 100 attendees used the Social Business Collaboration 2012 to discuss current challenges, brand new approaches and future trends in the field of Share-Point Evolution, Social Intelligence & Business Collaboration and effective management of content in the age of information overload. Participants, speakers and business partners joined one of the biggest conferences on this topic, to interchange experiences, widen their network and to debate the upcoming challenges.

Social Business Collaboration 2012 has therefore become the leading conference for strategic approaches and challenges to the management of Social Intelligence & Business Collaboration.
"Very open attendees and speakers"
Peter Kierdorf, Bayer MaterialScience AG
On the evening of the first conference day, the icebreaker session provided a first opportunity to talk, network or discuss and allowed the participants to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere at the Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz.
Inspiring discussions and presentations brought a deeper understanding of Social Intelligence & Business Collaboration and its core issues to the participants, especially on the topics of Content & Information Management, Effective Management of content in the age of Information overload, Portals & User Experience, Mobility, Content & Apps Integration & Business Evaluation as well as Share-Point Evolution.

Throughout the two days of the conference field reports, panel discussions as well as case studies were presented. The exchange of ideas between participants, speakers and business partners was animated and encouraged through different kinds of sessions (e.g. World Café, Challenge Your Peers Roundtables).
The aim of activating the participants of the conference to change from a passive to an active debating member was gratefully accepted and fully accomplished.

"Very effective Event. Sharing ideas is the secret for a successful strategy."
Paolo Albertini, Intesa Sanpaolo
In addition to the outstanding speeches of H.J. Heinz, BP Plc., BBC, AkzoNobel, NASA, Renault, United Nations, Capgemini, Projectplace, EADS, Sodexo, Sanofi Pasteur, F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Intesa Sanpaolo, Alcatel-Lucent, Zyncro, eBay, AXA Group and Turner Broadcasting System Inc. / Time Warner Corp., we.CONECT wanted to know more. That is why we asked each participant, before the conference, for further topics, questions and problems that should be discussed. According to the gathered answers, we created innovative and exciting “Challenge Your Peers” roundtables. Each table dealt with important topics for which participants had shown interest and the discussions lasted for most of the first day afternoon.

Overview of the topics:
"Lots of ideas, interesting format. Very good selection of presenters."
Stéphane Aknin, AXA
During the World Café Sessions on the morning of the second day, the participants had the chance to intensively discuss again with each other and to share ideas and solutions in the field of Social Intelligence & Business Collaboration.
Finding new innovative ideas and solutions for current problems in cooperation with other experts was the main goal of the discussions.

The cafés focused on how to build a sustainable and comprehensive enterprise collaboration strategy & how to make project management efficient, the development from Information Management to Social Intelligence & Challenges for Enterprise Activity Streaming, the Mobilisation of Corporate and Country websites and how to build a global & mobile collaboration framework as well as Social Intelligence & Business Collaboration.
The results were presented later on during a panel discussion and presentation of the key results. In the afternoon, more presentations from Renault S.A., F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG, AkzoNobel N.V., eBay Global Enterprise Technology, Intesa Sanpaolo and Sodexo followed.
In retrospect, the Social Business Collaboration 2012 has been a very interesting, diversified and highly interactive networking platform for leading Social Intelligence & Business Collaboration Management leaders and managers from all over the world.

We are already looking forward to welcoming you again at the Social Business Collaboration 2013 on 23rd ‒ 24th of September 2013 in Berlin.
